Congress Rocked by Shock US ‘Security Threat’ – Biden Pressured to Release Critical Evidence

Many have said that, under President Biden, the world has become much less safe. Russia invaded Ukraine. Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. And there is war in the Middle East.

And that doesn’t even get into what could happen with China and Iran.

Recently, the House Intelligence Committee notified Congress of a shocking problem. They stated all of Congress should know about this problem. And the head of this committee is making a huge demand from Biden.

From Axios:
Congressional leaders are set to be briefed on what House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner (R-Ohio) called a “serious national security threat” on Wednesday…

“I am requesting that President Biden declassify all information relating to this threat so that Congress, the Administration, and our allies can openly discuss the actions necessary to respond to this threat.”

It is unknown what threat is being discussed. But the House Intelligence Committee is warning all of Congress about a “serious national security threat.” According to reports this is concerns a “destabilizing foreign military capability that should be known by all Congressional Policy Makers.”

We do not know which country this threat is coming from. Both Republican and Democrat lawmakers are saying there is no need to worry and that there is not an “imminent” danger right now.

But this appears to be an urgent matter. So much so, that Committee Chair Mike Turner is calling on Biden to declassify all the material related to this report to Congress. It is unknown if the administration will do this.

Speaker Johnson reassured Americans that, “Steady hands are at the wheel, we’re working on it.”

It is rare for a ranking committee member to make such a bold demand from the president. But given this administration’s lack of foresight and failures on the global scene, it is likely lawmakers want to get out in front of this problem before the worst can happen.

And they do not trust President Biden to handle it himself.

Key Takeaways:

  • House Intelligence Committee Chair Turner is demanding Biden to declassify a report on a serious threat.
  • Congress was notified about the threat and will be given a report.
  • Leaders say there is no imminent danger, but it is an urgent problem.
