Congress Passes Historic America-First Bill – It Just Stopped Our #1 Enemy Cold

What’s Happening:

It’s no secret that China has been making inroads against the United States for years. There’s not an industry that the communist nation doesn’t have its fingers in. Major universities are funded by China. Most of our media and entertainment companies are influenced by China.

But that all pales in comparison with what China was trying to do against our very land. The communist nation was rapidly expanding its ability to control our resources and spy on our military bases. And governors–even Republicans–were letting it happen. The threat is so serious, that even Democrats are joining with Republicans to shut the CCP down.

From The Post Millennial:

Lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have moved to limit who can purchase American farmland, introducing and passing legislation making it difficult, if not impossible, for corporations and foreign nations to do so…

On Thursday, the Senate passed the Promoting Agriculture Safeguards and Security Act, amending the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 which will prohibit China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea from buying farmland in the US.

Wow. A bipartisan group within the Senate passed a bill that will ban China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea from buying farmland in the United States. This comes as both parties worry about what China is trying to do on our very soil.

Chinese companies have been buying farmland across the U.S. for years. That alone is alarming since it gives an enemy nation strategic control over our food production ability. But it became very concerning when China started buying land unsuited for farming, claiming they wanted to grow crops.

As it turns out, most of this land is dangerously close to military bases. Gee, I wonder why China wanted land unsuitable for farming that is only miles away from our bases?

An increasing number of states have banned foreign ownership of land for this very reason. But even conservative states like South Dakota have put profit ahead of national security. If this bill is passed by the House it will go to Joe Biden’s desk.

It should be a no-brainer for the old man. But Biden is known for putting the interests of foreign nations ahead of America. It will be very interesting if he ends up vetoing this bill.

Key Takeaways:

  • A bipartisan team of senators passed a bill banning foreign nations from owning U.S. farmland.
  • This comes as China aggressively tries to buy up land close to military bases.
  • Numerous states have already banned foreign ownership, but others allow it.
