Congress Nails Dr. Fauci in Huge Investigation – They Just Demanded Critical Evidence, or Else…

It was so difficult to determine the truth during the COVID-19 pandemic that it has taken years to weave through the mess created by power-hungry government officials. What these so-called public servants did to the American people will likely never be exposed fully.

Now, a regular stream of revelations have been showing just how bad the situation was for the country. The amount of damage done by the secrecy and blatant disregard for the law keeps growing.

Republicans in Congress are keeping the pressure on one of the most famous government lackies who dodged the laws during the pandemic. GOP leaders want the details exposed surrounding all actions taken by Dr. Anthony Fauci and his cronies, and Congress sent him a powerful warning about what happens next.

From the Daily Caller:
The House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic will send a letter Wednesday to Dr. Anthony Fauci requesting access to his email and cell phone for any information that relates to COVID-19 origins, EcoHealth alliance and their investigation.

The letter was sent by Republican Ohio Rep. Brad Wenstrup, chairman of the select subcommittee. In it, he mentions the testimony of Fauci’s senior advisor at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Dr. David Morens, and how the doctor recently testified before the subcommittee after they uncovered evidence that suggests he intentionally obstructed their investigations into the origins of COVID-19 to protect Fauci.

This revelation exposes an astonishing level of circumventing laws related to the release of public information. Government bureaucrats too willingly revert to hiding things in the name of the “public interest” when in reality what should be revealed to the public only harms the wrongdoers.

Wenstrup referred to a June 2023 situation where it appeared Morens attempted to avoid potential Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests by using his personal email instead of his work email. Lawmakers also raised concerns in the letter that Morens may have destroyed federal records.

The response from Morens to these revelations was, “I don’t remember.”

Isn’t it amazing how many of the brightest minds in the medical field can’t remember sending emails? It’s a wonder they haven’t caused more problems than suspected.

In the letter, the Select Subcommittee restated its intent to investigate the origins of COVID-19 and review thousands of communications related to Fauci, Morens, and the overall government involvement in the pandemic.

The letter described personal email exchanges between Fauci and Morens as a “secret back channel” used for communicating official government correspondence. Lawmakers said this was intended to “delay our oversight efforts” and demanded any related documents and communications by handed over by June 12 “at the latest.”

Key Takeaways:

  • GOP leaders of a House subcommittee demanded information from Fauci and an associate.
  • Lawmakers penned a letter that revealed a potential “secret back channel” for communications.
  • Republicans said private emails with Fauci were used to avoid public information requests.
