9th Circuit Court Drops Constitution On California Governor – They Rule Newsom Crossed The Line Closing Private Schools

What’s Happening:

In recent months, we’ve seen the far-left state of California lose numerous court battles.

Well, add this one to the list!

With Democrats running amuck all over the country, it falls to the courts to defend Americans’ freedoms.

Citizens have gone to court again and again—just to secure their God-given rights.

A major issue was taken to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. And this once-super liberal court that Trump added conservative justices to just gave California some bad news.

From IJR:

“California’s forced closure of their private schools implicates a right that has long been considered fundamental under the applicable caselaw — the right of parents to control their children’s education and to choose their children’s educational forum,” Judge Daniel Collins of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals wrote for the majority in the ruling on Friday…

“As with its rigidly overbroad approach to religious services, California once again failed to ‘explain why it cannot address its legitimate concerns with rules short of a total ban,’” the court said.

The federal court hammered the State of California over its forced closures of private schools.

When the 2020 crisis hit, states all over the country shut down public schools (among other things).

In California, they went even further to force private schools—which are not run by the state—to be shut down as well.

This move deprived many parents of the ability to decide where and how their kids could be educated.

It also put a major burden on private schools, which do not enjoy the same tax-supplied resources as public schools.

The 9th Circuit Court decided Gavin Newsom went beyond his power to close public schools.

What’s interesting to note is that the court referenced other court battles coming out of California.

They hit California for banning religious services as well. Previous court cases penalized the state for violating the 1st Amendment.

It seems like California just can’t catch a break! I guess that’s what happens when you violate the rights of free citizens, abusing your power like a dictator.

Hey, these kinds of cases aren’t coming out of Texas! Because they didn’t trample on Americans’ rights.

Do you support freedom for our schools across the country?

Key Takeaways:

  • The 9th Circuit Court ruled against California, for closing private schools.
  • The court said the state violated parents’ rights to choose their children’s education.
  • This is yet another court case California lost, after violating the civil rights of residents.
