Buttigieg Hammered by Widespread National Failure – After a Trillion in Spending, Pete’s FAA Breaks Down

What’s Happening:

Why did Joe Biden pick Pete Buttigieg to lead the Department of Transportation? Did he owe this disgraced mayor a favor? Was the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana qualified to lead an entire government agency?

We’ll never know. But what we do know is that Buttigieg is woefully out of his depth. Maybe he thought this would be an easy job. But since “Mayor Pete” has been in charge of the DOT, we’ve been hit with one crisis after another.

Just this week, countless flights were grounded.

What was the problem? Well, the administration’s new NOTAM system (renamed to be more inclusive) failed to alert pilots and other personnel about airborne issues. This comes after Congress approved trillions to improve our airlines.

From The White House:

Upgrade our nation’s airports and ports to strengthen our supply chains and prevent disruptions that have caused inflation. This will improve U.S. competitiveness, create more and better jobs at these hubs, and reduce emissions.

Biden’s massive infrastructure deal was supposed to improve our airports–to address these very problems. But nothing has apparently been done. The supply chain has been broken since Joe entered office. Buttigieg has done nothing about it. He was MIA during the potential rail worker’s strike.

It turns out, the latest airline problem was known about the night before. But the DOT sat on it until morning, leading to massive cancelations and confusion. But where has Buttigieg been during all this? He’s been using tax dollars to jet around the country.

From Fox News:

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg took a government-managed jet to New York City in April for a radio interview and two brief meetings before returning hours later, Fox News Digital has learned.

It seems Buttigieg is using his position as head of DOT for his own personal enjoyment. As airlines panicked and flights were canceled, the best he could do was make a few phone calls.

From Fox News:

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg says he is keeping abreast of the widespread technical issues plaguing the Federal Aviation Administration that grounded flights across the country.

Oh, he’s “keeping abreast.” But what is he doing? Nothing, it seems. Millions of Americans’ plans were ruined. Jobs will be lost. Important events will be canceled. But the only thing Buttigieg seems to care about is his own personal comfort and privilege.

If this was going on during the last administration, heads would have rolled. We wouldn’t have had to wait for the media to demand Pete be fired. The president would have fired him, himself. Buttigieg should have been fired years ago when he was missing during the supply chain crisis.

But after several more crises he’s ignored, firing isn’t enough. He needs to be investigated for gross incompetence.

Key Takeaways:

  • Countless flights were canceled as a new system failed to alert pilots and crews.
  • Biden spent trillions to improve our airlines, with nothing to show for it.
  • His head of the Department of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, has failed to address this and many other crises.
