This year has been very bad for the left. Many, many Democrats have been exposed in sex scandals. Big donors from Hollywood and the media were outed as harassers or worse.

Politicians weren’t immune. Numerous elected Democrats were exposed. Some have been abusing staff for years. Men that were supposed to be champions of women’s rights were accused of the very worst behavior.

All this is coming to a head. As election time rolls around, voters will remember the scandals. Many might not be able to hold onto their seats. Those who resign are leaving replacements in a bad spot.

It might be a massive change in the left’s most powerful region.

According to Politico, a burgeoning sexual harassment scandal is roiling the state’s Democratic ranks and a series of “scandal-induced resignations” thought to be coming in 2018 are threatening the Democrats’ stranglehold on power.

“We’re in unchartered territory here,” Garry South, a veteran Democratic strategist told the political news outlet. “This whole issue has hit a critical mass in a very short time. I’ve never seen anything like it before — and I don’t know where it ends.”

South and others claim that Democrats have suffered from a severe decline in public trust. The Hollywood leftists who have bankrolled Democratic candidates at both the state and federal level are now under scrutiny…

The major Democratic players who represent some of California’s biggest urban areas can’t escape the tarnish.

Even Rep. Nancy Pelosi isn’t immune, the article claims, because she stalled Rep. John Conyers’s resignation, calling Conyers an “American icon” and pleading with him to remain in office, even as more women came forward to accuse Conyers of bizarre — and often sexual — behavior.

These scandals are more than embarrassing. It exposes liberals are shocking hypocrites. For decades they’ve attack conservatives. They called republican policy bad for women. Liberals claimed to be feminists. That they were looking out for women everywhere.

Yet some of the most powerful liberals have been outed as rapists. “Feminist” men have been assaulting vulnerable women. These were women who trusted them, their staff and employees. Their actions are below deplorable.

Will the Democrats be able to fix the damage? Do they think voters will forget come 2018? Not likely. They have been protecting sexual predators for years. The thought turns the stomach of every decent American.

Their future looks bleak, even in a state as liberal as California.
