The liberal media continue to lie to you about the border. They scoff Trump’s plan for a wall, claiming it isn’t needed.

But the facts are much different than what the left says.

Our border with Mexico is a war zone. Violent drug cartels and smugglers use it to enter the United States. They mock our laws and border, regularly importing drugs, violence, and human slaves.

A recent catch only highlights the great danger just over the border. And why we need a secure barrier.

Late last week, Mexican law enforcement officials seized 100 pounds of the synthetic opioid fentanyl, one of the most lethal drugs in existence, in a vehicle approximately 30 miles south of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Mexican police say they intercepted the shipment — which also contained 14 pounds of meth, 88 pounds of cocaine and 18.5 pounds of heroin — close to the city of Ensenada in Baja California last Thursday, the Associated Press reported. Ensenada is just 30 miles south of the Mexican border city of Tijuana, the most likely destination for the drugs seized by Mexican authorities…

The amount of fentanyl seized by Mexican officials is enough to kill anywhere from 17.5 million to 19.1 million people, according to two estimates. The first estimate came from New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal, who said that 100 pounds of fentanyl is enough to “kill the entire populations of New Jersey and New York City combined [approximately 17.5 million].”

That’s a lot of drugs. These weren’t recreational narcotics, folks. These were weapons-grade poison. What were these drug runners planning to do with it? Fentanyl is used to “enhance” drugs like heroin. But the stuff is extremely fatal. Even less than a milligram can kill a person. So why was there so much, right at our border?

Perhaps these drug runners were going to sell it to other dealers. Or perhaps they had other plans. It’s possible they were going to smuggling it over the border and sell it as another drug. Or use it to dose unsuspecting victims. The death toll could have been staggering.

This time, the scumbags were caught. But what about next time? What is going to happen with this huge shipment? Will it be properly destroyed? Or will it mysteriously disappear from police custody?

We might never know.
