California Governor Makes 1 Shock Confession – This Could Mean Curtains for Gavin’s Agenda

Since Joe Biden entered office, blue states have been ramping up their “green” agenda. The White House has shelled out billions in tax dollars to fund a transition to “alternative” energy sources. Some states have aggressively invested in wind turbines and solar plants while shutting down oil and coal plants.

The leader of this movement appears to be California, which has a Democratic supermajority in the state legislature. Its governor, Gavin Newsom, has been very vocal about ending fossil fuels.

The state is even trying to ban all gas-powered cars in just a few years. But their green dream might have just come crashing down. Because even the governor has been forced to admit that all this green spending hasn’t saved them from a major threat.

From Breitbart:
California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) admitted Thursday that the state still faces the risk of blackouts in heat waves despite investing in battery capacity to store electricity for use in times of peak demand…

“So no, this is not today announcing that blackouts are part of our past.” …

California is pushing to meet ambitious “green energy” and “zero emissions” targets, including a transition to an all-electric car and truck fleet, despite the fact that the state lacks power generating capacity to meet growing demand.

California is one of the most populous states in the country. Because of this, its energy demands are tremendous, especially as the summer heats up. But because it has aggressively shut down fossil fuel energy plants, California enjoys rolling blackouts most summers.

Even when they are able to stave off blackouts, it is only because they buy electricity from neighboring states. Most of those states still rely on fossil fuels for electricity.

Gov. Newsom spent big bucks to secure battery capacity to store electricity for when there is peak demand. But that won’t help if “green” sources aren’t producing enough in the first place. Newsom even admitted in 2020 that green sources can’t meet real demand. Despite this, he forged ahead with a plan that puts the state in a precarious position.

Recent years have shown the huge weaknesses of solar and wind power. Cold weather can cripple both sources, and even a short hailstorm can leave a solar farm useless. Droughts have shut down California’s hydroelectric power. And all you need is a calm day for wind turbines to stop spinning.

If only there was a source of energy that could be burned to produce as much electricity we needed?…

Key Takeaways:

  • California Gov. Newsom admitted that, for all his green energy, blackouts might still happen.
  • The blue state has outlawed most fossil fuel plants, suffering major blackouts during the summer.
  • Newsom invested heavily in batteries, yet those might not be enough to meet energy demand.
