After Blue State College Silences Christian Student – They Get Hit with Satisfying Karma

What’s Happening:

It’s widely known that American colleges have become Marxist training centers. Free speech is often squelched.  In some schools, they’ve reverted to segregation, forbidding white students from certain classes and clubs.

But this shockingly un-American agenda goes even further than that. In one school, a conservative Christian student faced severe backlash over her beliefs. In fact, the school ordered her not to interact with three students, just because of her views. She took the school to court and, guess what happened?

From Fox News:

An Illinois college has settled with a conservative, Christian art student who claimed the school censored her speech and discriminated against her after complaints from classmates.

As part of the settlement won by Alliance Defending Freedom, three professors at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) will take mandatory training related to free speech on college campuses.

Maggie Dejon was hit with three “no contact orders” from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Can you imagine that? The school actually told her she was not allowed to have direct or indirect communication with three students, because her beliefs were branded “discrimination.”

The school actually thought it was appropriate to scold this young woman, simply because of what she believed. College, as you might suspect, is made up of many young adults who do little else than discuss their beliefs and views.

Yet this school was banning Dejon from speaking to these three students. Imagine the kind of chilling effect that would have on a person. Alliance Defending Freedom took the school to court and won. Three professors have to take free speech training.

And the school will pay $80,000 to dismiss the lawsuit. On top of that, the school will have to revise its handbook to ensure all students’ rights are protected.

Now, if only every other college can get sued, we might get our country back!

Key Takeaways:

  • A conservative student won a free speech case against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
  • The school hit Maggie Dejon with “no contact orders” over her political views.
  • The school must pay $80,000 and revise the student handbook to protect free speech.
