Liberal Democrats and their vocal leftist mouthpieces in the entertainment industry have bashed former President Donald Trump for years. These proudly woke people have even displayed fake images of his decapitated head or sang songs and told jokes about killing Trump.

In the last couple of years, as Joe Biden derailed all the good Trump accomplished as president, leftists of all flavors have begun to turn against their dear leader occupying the White House. The transition to not supporting Biden, while still hating Trump, has been surprising.

Some of the biggest former haters of Trump are now championing Trump to get back into the Oval Office. Comedian and political commentator Bill Maher, who can’t stand Trump, had a harsh message for anyone clinging to woke ideology.

Maher predicted a “very likely” victory for former President Donald Trump, saying that Democrats were shooting themselves in the foot when they persisted in writing off Trump supporters: “They are aggressively anti-common sense.”

He said that the kids (of leftists) accused their parents of “old thinking” and not really understanding their political views.

“Tear down statues of Lincoln? Maybe give communism another shot? Get rid of the border patrol? Get rid of capitalism? White supremacy has never been worse? Gender is always just a social construct? It’s okay to have penises in the women’s swimming pool, in women’s prisons?’ No, it’s not that I’m old; it’s that your ideas are stupid,” Maher said

Maher said the left must own the woke ideology and their actions as “aggressively anti-common sense.”

The Democrats keep running on this one idea, saying to the American people, ‘You can’t possibly think you can do worse than Donald Trump.’ And they keep saying, ‘Yes, we can. Yes, we can,’” Maher said.

Maher’s words may have been foretelling the dismal performance of Biden in the first presidential debate against Trump. Even the harshest of anti-Trumpers were lamenting Biden’s failure on stage and had to fact-check his many false statements.

The comedian said leftists must try to reach Republicans who oppose Trump instead of leaning on all things woke. This stance, he said, would help push Biden to a reelection loss.

“That’s as good as it gets. If you can’t talk to those people, you’re just abandoning the country to half the people who are even worse, who are going to vote for Trump this next time and they are — and he very likely will win and then what are we going to do?” he said. “I think we should keep the dialogue open.”

After Biden’s performance failures over the last three years and his recent debate failure, the dialogue has strongly shifted to Trump winning in November.  The tide seems to be turning. Even long-time Trump critics like Bill Maher are now predicting his return to the White House.
