Biden Gets Nightmare Update in D.C. – It Hasn’t Been This Bad In Nearly 15 Years

Despite pressure from some Democrats, President Joe Biden remains the presumptive nominee for 2024. The man has raised large sums from Democratic donors.

But questions remain if he can make it all the way to November.

Biden’s presidency has been marred by controversy and crises. Many polls indicate Americans blame him for the border crisis and ongoing inflation and now, just months before the election, he gets the worst news of all.

From Washington Examiner:
President Joe Biden‘s approval rating has dropped to its lowest point in his presidency…

Biden recorded an approval rating of 33%, according to an ABC News-Ipsos poll released on Sunday, compared to 58% who disapprove of him. The survey of 2,228 adults conducted from Jan. 4-8 shows a huge hole for the commander in chief as he seeks reelection in less than 10 months.

According to an ABC News-Ipsos survey, President Biden has the lowest approval rating of his presidency. It’s the worst number an incumbent president has had in almost fifteen years.

Only 33% of Americans approve of Biden’s performance in office, and 58% disapprove of Biden’s presidency. To put that into context, pundits say a president is “underwater” when they get below 50%.

Biden is very underwater at this point. His approval is worse than Trump’s lowest numbers from this poll. The lowest approval Trump received from Ipsos was 36%, in July 2017 and August 2018.

This is even the worst approval of a president since George W. Bush’s second term, between 2006-2008. Biden’s last good approval numbers came in April 2021, at 52%. He hasn’t had a net approval rating since June of that year.

As vice president, Biden’s lowest approval was 43% in August 2012.

These numbers come as Biden struggles to build support with various groups within his voter base. He is losing support among young voters, black voters, and Hispanic voters. Polls from the end of 2023 showed Biden losing key swing states to Trump.

A low approval does not guarantee a loss for Biden in November. But his campaign will have that much harder of a time winning over voters who disapprove of how Biden has lead.

Key Takeaways:

  • Joe Biden has the worst approval of his presidency, according to an ABC News-Ipsos poll.
  • Only 33% of Americans approve of Biden’s leadership; 58% disapprove.
  • This is lower than Trump’s lowest and the worst for a president in 15 years.
