What’s Happening:

The world is watching in horror as Israel responds to an unprovoked terrorist attack. News continues to come out of the region revealing the terrible scope of the attack. To date, over 900 Israelis have been killed, including Americans. Over 2,600 have been injured.

Reports indicate that Iran provided resources to Hamas, the group responsible for this act of war. Critics condemned the Biden administration over $6 billion it released to the rogue nation just a month ago.

Despite the State Department admitting Iran “always” uses funds for terrorism, Biden made this shocking announcement.

In a recent interview with Fox News, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the John Kirby indicated that the White House currently has no plans to re-freeze the $6 billion of funds that the Biden administration released to Iran about a month before Israel was sieged with a surprise attack by Hamas.

Many suspect that the massive sum of money the Biden administration provided to Iran helped fund this act of evil against Israel. Yet the White House refuses to re-freeze these funds, to deprive Iran of continuing to sponsor terrorism.

Biden, and his predecessor President Obama, appeared shockingly lenient on Iran–a nation known for funding terrorism. Republican leaders are calling for the U.S. to strike back at the nation for its involvement in the Hamas attack. And now, one senator is moving to force Biden’s hand.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and other Senate Republicans joined together in a letter to President Joe Biden to say it is “unconscionable” to have Iran receive $6 billion in its unfrozen assets.

Sen. Blackburn and other Senate Republicans are demanding Biden’s State Department to freeze the accounts containing $6 billion in funds. They stated in their letter their “unwavering support for Israel.” They called Israel “our greatest ally in the Middle East.”

The Republicans hit back at Biden, calling his refusal to confront Iran “unconscionable.” Leaders of the rogue nation have openly supported the attack, calling for greater harm done against our ally Israel.

It’s unclear why the Biden administration refuses to re-freeze those accounts. The conflict currently underway could escalate beyond Israel. Large parts of the region could quickly become engulfed in war. Freezing Iran’s accounts might be a deciding factor in limiting the damage done by the terrorists.
