During Joe Biden’s time in the White House, the border crisis worsened exponentially. With our borders more open than ever, millions of illegal aliens have flooded into this country under his regime.

Biden put his Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of handling this crisis, making her his “border czar.” Despite this, the crisis has only continued to get worse.

Aaron Heitke, a former chief patrol agent for the Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector, testified before a House committee earlier this month. The retired Border Patrol chief Rodney Scott, who led Border Patrol from roughly the last year of the Trump administration to the first seven months of the Biden administration, is speaking out to accuse the current White House of doing the unthinkable regarding the border.

“There was a gag order put on us literally within minutes of the Biden administration taking office,” Scott told the DCNF.

“The chief of staff for Customs and Border Protection, when she arrived, one of her first orders was to forbid us from talking to the public, or doing press releases, or doing media without the White House clearing our statements,” Scott continued. “Not only were they not cleared, when they finally did give us talking points, they weren’t even accurate. They weren’t truthful.”

“No press conferences were approved, all border tours were shut down,” Scott said. “It was unprecedented. I’ve never seen a gag order that tight.”

Scott was still in charge of Border Patrol when Harris was named as the “border czar.” Despite this, he claims that she never spoke to him once.

This came after Aaron Heitke, a former chief patrol agent for the Border Patrol’s San Diego Sector, testified before a House committee on September 18. In his testimony, he alleged that Biden’s White House forced agents to hide information on arrests of special interest aliens (SIAs). Heitke also claimed that agents were told to move masses of illegal migrants out of sight of the press.

“Prior to this administration, the San Diego sector averaged 10–15 SIAs per year,” Heitke told the House Homeland Committee. “Once word was out that the border was far easier to cross, San Diego went to over 100 SIAs in 2022, way over 100 SIAs in 2023 and more than that this year.”

“These are only the ones we caught. At the time, I was told I could not release any information on this increase in SIAs or mention any of the arrests,” he continued. “The administration was trying to convince the public that there was no threat at the border.”

Biden Can’t Be Trusted When It Comes To The Border

We always knew that nothing the Biden administration can be trusted, particularly when it comes to the border. However, what Scott and Heitke had to say shows that the Biden White House’s handling of the border crisis is worse than we ever could have imagined.

It’s clear that the Biden administration is desperate to hide the fact that they have dropped the ball at the border. Biden has quite literally been gaslighting the American people into thinking there isn’t really a crisis at the border. Meanwhile, millions of illegal immigrants have flooded into our country.

Of course, Biden and his fellow Democrats don’t care about this influx of illegal aliens. Having alienated millions of real Americans with their failed policies, Democrats see illegal immigrants as being easy votes. That’s why they’ve also made it easier than ever to vote in our elections.

Now that Harris is running for president, Democrats want to hide the border crisis even more. They don’t want the American people to remember what a failure Harris was as Biden’s “border czar.” Unfortunately for them, the American people aren’t as dumb as they think we are, and we aren’t about to forget her border debacles anytime soon.

We applaud Scott and Heitke for exposing Biden’s failures at the border. If Harris wins this election, it’s likely that the border crisis will only get far worse. America quite literally cannot afford for that to happen. Here’s hoping Americans remember that in the voting booth.
