For years, President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, has been under heavy scrutiny for a variety of reasons. His overseas business dealings are still in question, and he has lingering tax issues as well.
Supposedly, authorities claim he remains under investigation, and the infamous laptop story just won’t go away.
But now, another member of the Biden clan is on the hot seat — and once again, it involves using the family name for benefit.
While the Biden/China connection appears to have some real evidence behind it, there’s another foreign power that just entered the conversation: Saudi Arabia.
Back in 2011, the Saudis refused to pay $140 million to a U.S. construction company, and James Biden was tapped to negotiate a settlement deal. And according to affidavits provided to the Daily Mail, there’s good reason.
Evidently, they “would not dare stiff the brother of the Vice President who would be instrumental to the deal.”

James Biden secretly negotiated a $140 million settlement deal in 2012 between a U.S. company and the Saudi Arabian government due to his relationship with then-Vice President Joe Biden, court documents reveal.
The revelation represents one more instance of the Biden family business peddling influence while President Joe Biden was an elected official.
House Oversight Committee James Comer (R-KY) reportedly already has copies of the court documents and is investigating the scandal as a part of his probe into the Biden family for nine violations, including wire fraud, tax evasion, and money laundering.
Rep. Comer has been going after the Bidens for some time now, and he’s one of several lawmakers who believe the Bidens have used their name as heavy influence in foreign transactions.
It’s also important to note that James Biden had a business relationship with the U.S. company’s subsidiary — he was executive vice president with a minority stake.
So, that $140M deal certainly would’ve benefited him, and that negotiation ended up with a $132M court settlement.
Former U.S. Treasury official Thomas Sullivan said in court documents:
[James Biden] stated that he was often sent to meetings to represent Hill because ‘of course, the name didn’t hurt.’
Sullivan said he asked if James Biden had attended a meeting with the Saudi Ministry of Trade to receive the final payment for the work. He said yes, and he’d attended “because of his position and relationship” with Joe.
It’s even more interesting that the company went behind the back of a hired law firm, and opted to collect the money via James Biden.
This “back-door deal” led to investigators questioning James and his wife, Sara, about the deal:
During the interview, James Biden allegedly confessed that ‘Of course, the [James Biden] name didn’t hurt’ to get the deal done. Sara allegedly said that Joe and James Biden ‘told each other everything.’
Sara’s statement contradicts Joe Biden’s claims he has never spoken about the Biden family business deals.
Joe Biden has stated numerous times that he didn’t know about Hunter’s overseas business dealings, and it’s likely he’d say the same about James.
Critics maintain that the President is only trying to distance himself from any potential problems with his family’s business operations, but evidence keeps popping up that every family member is at least partially aware.
And using the Biden name in the interest of power and money isn’t a new criticism, either.
But as more reports continue to surface, POTUS may finally be forced to go into more detail.
