Biden Campaign Takes Its Biggest Hit Yet – Report Shows How Many States Just ‘Broke For Trump’

The road to the White House has never been a smooth one. Candidates face countless obstacles and unexpected twists. As election cycles come and go, the American public is treated to a front-row seat to the drama and intrigue of political campaigns.

The current race is no different. Joe Biden is facing serious headwinds in his reelection bid. Aside from his many failures, Biden crashed and burned in the last debate.

Now, we are seeing some of the early aftershocks of Biden’s debate debacle.  Democrats fight over replacing him. Meanwhile, top polling firms are going to the people. What do voters in swing states think about Biden, after he flopped? This kind of information should make up Dems’ minds about finding a new candidate.

From Daily Caller:
One of America’s leading nonpartisan election and campaign watchers, Cook Political Report’s updates show that key jurisdictions — including crucial swing states like Georgia, Arizona and Nevada — are currently breaking for former President Donald Trump with about four months to go until Election Day. Cook’s updates reflect that some voters are leaving Biden behind in the wake of the president’s lackluster and disjointed performance at the June 27 debate against Trump, which has spurred significant questions about Biden’s mental acuity and ability to serve as president.

Tuesday’s updates included shifting Arizona, Georgia and Nevada from “toss up” states to “lean Republican.” Elsewhere in the country, New Hampshire, Minnesota and Nebraska’s second district have all moved from “likely Democrat” to “lean Democrat.”

The nonpartisan polling firm, Cook Political Report, gauged voters in important swing states. They studied voters’ views ever since Biden’s terrible debate performance. And now they have updated their predictions. States that were “toss-ups”—including Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada—are now “leaning Republican.”

On top of that, states that looked good for Biden are now appearing to break for Trump. Minnesota, Nebraska, and New Hampshire moved from “likely Democrat” to “leaning Democrat,” which means they are not in the bag for Joe anymore. According to Cook, Biden’s bad debate night has convinced some voters to switch sides.

At the moment, Biden’s campaign is fighting to rein in a mutiny among Democrats. Many liberals want Joe replaced, given his obvious cognitive decline. But the party is divided since they don’t have time to find a better candidate. These numbers, though, should put a fire under their feet if they hope to win 2024.

It does not seem likely they will be able to find someone else. And Biden’s stubborn refusal to admit he is sick will sink the entire party’s chances.

Key Takeaways:

  • Cook Political Report updated its predictions for the election; key swing states are moving toward Trump.
  • Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada are now “leaning Republican.”
  • Other states that were “likely Democrat” are now only “leaning Democrat.”
  • This is largely due to Biden’s debate performance, which convinced many he is too sick to run.
