Best Buy Suddenly Lands on Boycott List – Bombshell Leaked Memo Is Going Viral Fast

What’s Happening:

Companies love to promote from within because team members already know the business system and the corporate culture. The problem for many workers is that companies today are segregating who they want to move up the corporate ladder.

Workers who don’t meet certain requirements inspired by “progressive” thinking are out of luck no matter how good they are at doing their jobs. Workers must check off all the right boxes in modern business culture to succeed.

The latest company to be exposed for pushing this woke culture is a big box retailer frequented by customers from all walks of life. An internal memo leaked to the public has the company prepping for a backlash for using race as a requirement for management opportunities.

From Blaze News:

A whistleblower shared screenshots of an alleged internal Best Buy company memo regarding “management leadership academy programs” with the O’Keefe Media Group.

One of the purported requirements to be considered for the leadership programs was that candidates must “identify as black, Latino, Hispanic, Asian, or Pacific Islander.”

On its face the programs look like a great opportunity for employees by apparently offering leadership training that compares to a higher-level college education. But the online application to get accepted appears to trip anyone who doesn’t check off the correct affirmative action boxes.

According to the online application for the leadership programs, two questions ask if applicants are black, Latino, Hispanic, Asian, or Pacific Islander to advance.

Employees who don’t identify with one of the key communities need not apply and can go back to work stocking shelves on the retail floor. Any program that separates and promotes people based on race is not good for a business. Unfortunately, this company proudly promotes this program as “part of Best Buy’s commitment to develop and support our employees who identify as black, Indigenous or People of Color (BIPOC).”

“The McKinsey Management Accelerator program focuses on professional career development by customizing its curriculum and discussions to the unique situations, experiences and opportunities of BIPOC professionals,” the site states.

As you can imagine, there are calls to boycott Best Buy with one social media user exclaiming, “It’s time to Bud Light Best Buy.”

News of the Best Buy plan to continue its woke work culture with these programs was leaked this week. Time will tell if there is enough momentum from public backlash to hit the retailer as hard as work controversies crippled Bud Light and Target.

People who disagree with Best Buy culture and values can easily shop around for all the same items. Finding an employee to help with a question there is a challenge anymore, so why bother with Best Buy? Cheers to those who spend their money elsewhere.

Key Takeaways:

  • A leaked memo exposes woke culture at big box retailer.
  • Best Buy is all about BIPOC for management training.
  • Leadership candidates must check all the right boxes.
