The liberal-leaning media has made much of their own polls that have predicted a Joe Biden victory in November, but other numbers may be more important.
President Trump has frequently called these “suppression polls,” meant to discourage conservatives from voting, rather than predicting the outcome of the election.
Critics have been quick to point to other factors. Enthusiasm among Trump supporters continues to climb.
Trump’s campaign and the GOP have hit fundraising records over recent months. President Trump has been rolling out new events over the Summer.
Meanwhile, it appears Biden is struggling to muster excitement around his campaign, nor has he held a real, live rally in months.
Now, another metric has been released that reveals Trump’s advantage:
The Republican National Committee (RNC) announced on Monday that it and President Trump’s reelection campaign are hiring 300 additional staffers – which officials say will bring the combined resources of the Trump Victory field staff to 1,500 by Wednesday.
The RNC touts that the Trump Victory field operation is 50 percent bigger than what it sported four years ago in the 2016 election. And it highlights that its 1,500-strong field staff is more than double the 600 that presumptive Democratic presidential Joe Biden’s campaign said they’d have in place by the end of June in the key general election battleground states.
Historically, incumbent candidates often win, because they have an established base that is eager to re-elect them. Based on the large turnout for Trump in early primary states, it appears his base is fired up to vote for him—even during the primary process.
Now, the GOP is announcing a field team that is 50 percent bigger than the 2016 team. That suggests they are doing more than just getting Trump re-elected. Such a large team will be reaching out for Republican candidates across the country.
It’s no secret that Trump will need the help of Congress to achieve many of his second-term goals. For the president to ensure his success, he’ll need to keep the Senate and flip the House.
Such a large field team could be vital in securing support not only for Trump but the record number of Republican candidates fighting for congressional seats.
The large team appears to suggest Team Trump isn’t taking any chances. They are working overtime to make sure Republicans have a strong advantage moving into November.
Meanwhile, it doesn’t appear that Joe Biden’s team is fired up at all. Despite the support he enjoys from the MSM, Biden refuses to hold events or make appearances. He continues to host lackluster interviews, holed up in his basement.
- The GOP announced a record size field team for the November election.
- Republicans have 1,500 staff working in swing states on behalf of Trump and the party.
- The team is 50% larger than the one they had in 2016 when Trump won the White House.
