It is not uncommon for politicians to celebrate Christmas by posting messages. Unfortunately, many of them use the holiday to spread propaganda.

Instead of wishing families a joyous time of fun and relaxation, they turn the birth of Christ into a soapbox for politics.

Few Americans appreciate this, of course. But left-wing New York congresswoman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to not realize this. And her politically-charged Christmas message did not go well with some.

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted a Christmas Eve message Sunday that got her into hot water for comparing Jesus Christ to modern day Gazans.
“In the story of Christmas, Christ was born in modern-day Palestine under the threat of a government engaged in a massacre of innocents…

Thousands of years later, right-wing forces are violently occupying Bethlehem as similar stories unfold for today’s Palestinians…”

Democrat socialist AOC used Christmas to push the progressive left’s anti-Israel propaganda. In a retelling of the Christmas story that many scholars could pull apart, AOC claimed Jesus was born “in modern-day Palestine.”

She proceeded to compare her to refugees and Palestinians, painting the Arab group as “victims” of Israel’s “occupation.” She went on to make what appears to be a poor attempt at turning Christians against Jews, claiming that because of “right-wing forces,” they cannot go to Bethlehem on the holiday.

AOC appears to be calling Israel “right-wing forces.” However, the state of Israel does not control Bethelem. It handed the city over to the Palestinian Authority back in 1995—suggesting the country has a long history of trying to cooperate with Palestinians, despite what leftists claim.

Users slammed AOC for attacking Israel, yet saying nothing about the “Hamas terror” of October 7 that triggered the current war. Others pointed out that AOC neglected to discuss the fact that Israeli hostages continue to be held by Hamas.

Users accused the New Yorker of “Jew hate.” It appears people did not appreciate AOC using the sacred holiday season to spread her brand of progressive, anti-Israel propaganda.

Americans from across the political spectrum have come out to condemn progressives for turning on Israel after October 7th. There even appears to be a rift between moderate Democrats and their far-left members over the conflict.
