Judge Drops the Gavel on 1 Anti-Trumper – Here’s His Punishment for Betraying Donald

For years, Democrats have tried to get their hands on Donald Trump’s tax records. Finally, they got their wish thanks to a rogue agent within the IRS. A man named Charles Littlejohn illegally accessed Trump’s records and leaked them to the New York Times.

He also leaked the tax records of other rich Americans, like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos, providing them to other publications.

The man was charged before a federal court for what he did. Prosecutors accused him of “weaponizing” his access within the IRS to further his political agenda. And now, he is finally facing the music.

From The Post Millennial:
A former Internal Revenue Service contractor has been sentenced to five years in prison after leaking the tax records of Donald Trump to the New York Times, as well as the tax records of Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk to ProPublica…

Charles Littlejohn pleaded guilty in October, according to NBC News. Prosecutors sought the maximum sentence of five years in federal prison, stating that he “abused his position by unlawfully disclosing thousands of Americans’ federal tax returns and other private financial information to multiple news organizations.”

A federal court sentenced Charle Littlejohn to five years in prison for stealing and leaking tax records of then-President Donald Trump and many others. This is the maximum sentence for his crime.

It is possible Littlejohn is a far-left Marxist, who believed his actions were justified. He suggested he wanted to expose wealthy Americans to the public, believing he was doing the right thing at the time.

But the judge did not agree. US District Judge Ana Reyes, who has sentenced many January 6 defendants, accused Littlejohn of threatening the country’s democracy, by exposing a sitting president’s tax information.

While this is a rare act of justice against a Trump enemy, questions still linger. Such as, will the publications who used this illegally-gained information face any consequences? These liberal-leaning outlets did not hesitate to publish this information. Shouldn’t they also face prosecution?

No doubt, they will claim that freedom of the press clears them of any guilt. But Littlejohn would not have had any opportunity to “expose” Trump, if the mainstream media was so eager to help, even if it involved illegal actions.

Key Takeaways:

  • The IRS agent who leaked Trump’s tax documents was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
  • Charles Littlejohn pleaded guilty to stealing and leaking thousands of Americans’ tax records.
  • The federal judge who sentenced him claimed his actions were an attack on our democracy.
