It’s hard not to think that Democrats are going out of their way to destroy America. In nearly every state where they hold a majority, prosperity is declining and thousands are fleeing. But the Democrats are not done making sure our once-beloved communities are smoking craters.

In one now-blue state, Democrats passed “America’s Most Dangerous Law.” Every other state that has passed it has only seen crime skyrocket. The geniuses in the state legislature blindly followed. And now, sheriffs are fearing the worst.

Sheriffs in southern Illinois say they are bracing for more crime and more victims that result from the end of cash bail across the state…

“It’s an experiment on the backs of victims of crime. I have serious concerns and so do the people that live here.”

Under the new law, judges across Illinois will not require those charged with a crime to post bail in order to be released from jail while they await trial unless the judge determines them a threat to the public or a flight risk.

New York eliminated cash bail and crime skyrocketed. Other liberal states adopted similar policies, with the same results. So, why did the Democrats in Illinois think it would be different for them?

Liberals passed a law that would prevent judges from requiring bail for those arrested for a crime. Bail is a necessary step to ensure a dangerous person cannot reck havoc while awaiting trial. Imagine the insanity of arresting a violent perp, assigning him a court date, and then letting him go free!

Gee, I wonder if that criminal will go after the victims some more, to prevent them from testifying against them? And that’s just one possible outcome of this idiotic law.

Democrats claim this is “criminal justice reform.” But what it really does is put criminals back on the streets, free to do much worse. It is a trend of lawlessness that has been sweeping over blue cities and blue states. And it has only made our country worse.

But Democrats refuse to see the light. They will continue to push these policies wherever they get a toehold.
