After Top Global Leader Drops Jaws in Speech – Israel Drops the Hammer of Justice on Him

What’s Happening:

Soon after terror group Hamas killed over 1,400 Israelis, figures around the world seemingly defended them. Progressives in the United States tried to justify the actions by claiming Israel is an oppressor who has denied the Palestinians the right to exist.

Many have jumped on Israel’s response to the attack, seemingly forgetting helpless Israeli citizens were killed or kidnapped. But it’s not only radical protesters going after Israel.

The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres gave a speech seemingly condemning the one Jewish state in the world. He seemed to minimize the Hamas attack, claiming Palestinians have been the victims of “suffocating occupation.” He echoed statements spread by those who want Israel wiped out. And now, Israel’s UN ambassador is holding nothing back.

From Fox News:
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations is ripping the “horrible views” that U.N. Secretary General António Guterres expressed at a meeting of the Security Council on Tuesday and is calling for his resignation…

“The shocking speech by the @UN Secretary-General at the Security Council meeting, while rockets are being fired at all of Israel, proved conclusively, beyond any doubt, that the Secretary-General is completely disconnected from the reality in our region and that he views the massacre committed by Nazi Hamas terrorists in a distorted and immoral manner,” Erdan posted on X.

Israel’s UN ambassador, Gilad Erdan, blasted the UN Secretary-General over his comments about the Hamas attack. Erdan heavily criticized Guterres’s statement, calling it a “shocking speech.” He demanded that the man resign from his post within the organization.

Guterres stated he “condemned unequivocally” the attacks by Hamas against Israel. But he then seemed to minimize the attacks, using talking points shared by progressives and Hamas sympathizers.

The UN Secretary-General all but called Israel an apartheid state, accusing them of subjecting Palestinians to “56 years of suffocating occupation.” He accused Israel of “devouring” Palestinian settlements and inflicting violence on them.

It appears Guterres is ignoring the entire picture of the Israel-Palestinian situation. Gaza and other Palestinian areas suffer economic problems, largely due to the fact that Hamas and other leaders squander the international aid given to them.

Israel has frequently offered peace deals with Palestinians, which have been rejected. Israel has also provided aid to Palestinians in many forms.

Guterres claimed the “hopes for a political solution” to the Palestinians’ plight have been “vanishing.” This is not due to Israel, but Palestinian leaders who–along with many of their people–chant, “From the River to the Sea.” A call to destroy the nation of Israel.

Many Palestinians want to live peacefully with Israel. But many others want the Jewish state wiped out. Guterres and others who are blaming Israel are only empowering terror groups that inflict evil onto civilians. Erdan’s rebuke will be shared by many Israeli leaders–and could prompt the nation to withdraw from the UN entirely.

Key Takeaways:

  • The UN Secretary-General seemingly blamed Israel for the Hamas attack.
  • Israel’s UN ambassador strongly rebuked Guterres and called for his resignation.
  • The UN has long seemed to oppose Israel’s existence and supported its enemies.
