Trump Slaps GOP Leader with 1 New Label – Donald Isn’t Pulling Any Punches

Much is on the line in this year’s election. Not only will the White House be decided for the next four years, but many seats in the Senate and the entire House.

At the moment, Democrats control the Senate. Republicans have a majority in the House, but it is razor thin. And just recently, another Republican announced they will not seek reelection.

That puts Republicans’ chances of regaining strength in D.C. at risk. Donald Trump was no way pleased that another Republican was cutting and running. And he issued a blistering response, giving this politician and all like him a vicious nickname.

From Daily Wire:
On Sunday, former President Donald Trump lashed out as a Republican lawmaker reportedly confirmed plans to retire early from the House…

A post to Trump’s page on Truth Social offered a disgusted reaction to a Washington Examiner report on how Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI) is still planning to step down in April, even after House leadership urged him to remain in office.

“Never forget our cowards and weaklings! Such a disgrace,” said Trump, who is seeking re-election to the White House this year and has secured enough delegates to clinch the GOP nomination.

Donald Trump blasted Mike Gallagher for refusing the urgings of House Republicans to stay in office. He will not only retire, but he is leaving long before the new Congress begins. Gallagher will step down, leaving the GOP majority in the lurch, on April 19.

Trump slammed the Republican writing, “Never forget our cowards and weaklings!” It seems Trump views Gallagher and other Republicans who recently quit as cowards. He said their decision to leave the party’s majority in jeopardy is a “disgrace.”

It is not uncommon for congressmen to announce their resignations before an upcoming election. Sometimes, they are gerrymandered out of their district, unable to secure reelection. Other times, politicians step down to take a job with a lobbying firm or government agency. It appears Republicans have been leaving the House for various reasons.

But no doubt part of the reason is the growing dysfunction of House Republicans. A small group started a mutiny, resulting in Kevin McCarthy being ousted as Speaker. McCarthy is one of the Republicans who left. The party has been unable to pass meaningful legislation, despite holding the majority.

Key Takeaways:

  • Donald Trump criticized Mike Gallagher and other Republicans leaving the House.
  • Trump called them “cowards” and “weaklings” for seemingly abandoning the party.
  • Many Republicans have left the House, jeopardizing the party’s majority.
