After DeSantis Rakes in Millions for Trump – Donald Gives Ron a Perfect 6-Word Response

For several years, it appeared two of the most influential Republicans were at each other’s throats. Ron DeSantis was running for president, provoking the wrath of Donald Trump. Despite having been allies, they were duking it out for the top spot.

Early in the year, DeSantis dropped out of the race. Soon after that, Trump secured the nomination.

We heard reports that DeSantis was going to campaign for Trump. He even vowed to raise money for the Republican candidate. And, boy, did he make good on that word. Now, Trump is making a big statement about his former rival.

From Daily Wire:
Former President Donald Trump praised Florida Governor Ron DeSantis this week during a fundraiser that the governor held to help Trump win re-election this fall…

The governor and dozens of allies then spent Thursday morning fundraising for Trump, bringing in more than $3 million for the super political action committee Right for America, the report said. Trump called into the meeting to thank everyone for their efforts and then praised the governor: “Ron, I love that you’re back.”

A top Trump ally told the publication that Trump World was “thrilled by the support we are receiving from Governor DeSantis.”

After vowing to raise money for Trump, Gov. DeSantis helped bring in over $3 million during a single event. When the news broke, Trump praised DeSantis and said that he loved that he was back. Meaning, that he was back on the Trump train.

It seemed as if DeSantis was Trump’s biggest rival for the Republican nomination. Even before DeSantis announced his campaign, Trump was criticizing him online. The two had a bitter feud during the primaries. But DeSantis quickly allied himself with Trump after he dropped out of the race.

Now, word is spreading that DeSantis could become Trump’s running mate. He might be the very best pick for Trump, given his huge success in the state of Florida. Trump would also be selecting someone who could easily run after Trump finished out his second term, continuing the America First agenda after him.

That all remains to be seen, however. For now, DeSantis will likely continue to build support and momentum for the Republican candidate.

Key Takeaways:

  • Ron DeSantis raised over $3 million for Trump during one fundraiser.
  • Trump said, “Ron, I love that you’re back.”
  • The two had previously had a bitter rivalry during the primaries.
