The mainstream media tends to lean on a narrative that President Trump and conservatives are racially insensitive. More often than not, the mainstream media accuses Republicans of being outright racist.
Many on the right have accused the media of a liberal bias that motivates these accusations. Outlets take the high ground, implying they and their staff are “allies” to American minorities.
Yet ABC is now in hot water over allegations against a top executive. As a result, they were forced to suspend her:
A top ABC News executive is on administrative leave after reported claims of racist and sexist remarks surfaced.
A report from Huffington Post’s Yashar Ali lays out damning accusations of Barbara Fedida, head of ABC News talent, and her treatment of black journalists at the network.
In 2018, during a contentious meeting about renewing “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts’s contract, Fedida reportedly “asked what more Roberts could want and said it wasn’t as if the network was asking Roberts to ‘pick cotton.'”
A Huffington Post article exposed Barbara Fedida and her history of alleged racially insensitive remarks. The article specifically points out “claims of racist and sexist remarks.” Some of them appeared to directly target minority staffers and on-air talent. The comments could not be interpreted other than insulting and racist.
Other staffers referred to Fedida as an “abusive figure.” Yet her suspension only came after she was exposed publicly for her actions, leading some to perhaps wonder, why did it take so long? And was ABC looking the other way?
Many would claim that a simple search of ABC’s political content would suggests they, like many other major outlets, lean to the left. They join in with other news companies to cast Trump and his supporters in a negative light. Yet it was one of their own employees, a top executive, who has been accused of a history of bigoted remarks.
Conservatives frequently accuse liberals of being very hypocritical That is frequently dismissed or ignored by the mainstream media. Yet, once again, one of their own has been outed.
- ABC executive Barbara Fedida has been accused of making racially insensitive remarks.
- The company suspended the executive after she was outed in a Huffington Post article.
- Numerous employees accused the woman of being an “abusive figure” who insulted black staff.
