After Anti-Israel Protests Go Too Far – One University is Forced to Do the Unthinkable

Across the country, far-left college students are camping out to protest Israel. Spouting anti-Israel rhetoric, these progressives are siding with Gaza over the ongoing conflict. As these protests rage, it is becoming clearer that these students are spreading antisemitic views.

In some cases, Jewish students are being threatened. Many are too scared to go to classes.

To the shock of many, some school presidents have refused to intervene. Only now have some begun to clear away these encampments. But the problem is only getting worse, while liberal leaders refuse to condemn the movement. And now, a major West Coast school is revealing what these protests have cost hard-working students.

From The Post Millennial:
On Thursday, the University of Southern California announced that it has canceled its mainstage graduation ceremony, citing unspecified additional “security measures.”

This after the university struggles to contain ongoing pro-Palestinian demonstrations that have brought in outside agitators, which resulted in the arrest of 93 individuals on Wednesday…

LAPD was dispatched to the university on Wednesday to disperse thousands of students and outside agitators participating in pro-Palestinian demonstrations, similar to those that have sprung up on college campuses across the US over the past week.

College graduates of the University of Southern California will not be able to celebrate their success. The school has canceled its graduation ceremony due to “safety measures.” This is likely due to the ongoing antisemitic protests and the activity of radical activists.

What was once misinformed, entitled liberals claiming about Israel has turned into a dangerous movement aimed at Jewish Americans. Anti-Israel groups and individuals have been joining college students, inciting increasingly violent rhetoric against Jews.

This is likely the reason the school canceled the event, which would have required it to vet about 65,000 attendees. What has been an uneventful ceremony for decades is now being shut down, thanks to progressive liberals.

A growing number of schools are employing local and state police to tear down the encampments. Protesters are resisting arrest and getting violent with officers. This movement seems to be growing, thanks in part to progressive teachers who encourage it and liberal leaders (both on campus and in D.C.) who refuse to condemn it.

Key Takeaways:

  • The University of Southern California canceled its graduation ceremony due to ongoing antisemitic protests.
  • The school cited “safety measures” as the reason it couldn’t prevent dangerous individuals from infiltrating the event.
  • This comes as progressive activists become increasingly antisemitic and violent in their opposition to Israel.
