Hours After Israel Hit by New Attack – The U.N. Makes 1 Stunningly Radical Decision

Iran shocked the world over the weekend when it, for the first time, attacked the nation of Israel. After using proxy groups for years to spread death and destruction, the rogue nation fired rockets and drones at Israel.

This comes after years of Iran calling for Israel’s demise—as well as the demise of Israel’s allies, including the United States.

Such a shocking and deliberate act of aggression cannot be tolerated by a supposedly loyal member of the United States. In light of the attack, the organization held an emergency meeting. But instead of condemning Iran, they did this.

From Breitbart:
The United Nations Security Council convened for an “emergency” meeting on Sunday in which several members condemned Iran for launching over 300 drones and missiles at Israel the day before.

The members of the Council did not agree on any meaningful action in response to the unprecedented assault, which Israel almost entirely blocked with advanced missile defense systems. Israel’s representative condemned Iran as the “number-one global sponsor of terror” and demanded the Council act to restrain Tehran’s ability to “arm, fund, and train terror proxies across the globe.” Iran, meanwhile, argued that it “had no choice” but to bomb Israel and insisted it does “not seek escalation or war.”

Even though the UN met for an emergency meeting, the group did not formally condemn or move against Iran. Israel’s representative, along with other members, condemned Iran. However, the Security Council did not issue an official statement. Nor did it take any actions to penalize Iran for its unprecedented attack.

Israel had called on the UN to prevent Iran from having the ability to “arm, fund, and train” terror groups around the world. Despite evidence suggesting that Iran is behind much of the bloodshed in the Middle East, the UN has been slow to confront the nation.

Most of the time, we see the UN coming out against Israel while defending its enemies. These kinds of actions have convinced many Americans that the UN is a corrupt governing body that is not interested in doing the right thing.

It is unknown if the UN Security Council will do something about Iran’s aggression. If it does not issue a rebuke and sanctions, it is likely Iran will try another attack soon.

Key Takeaways:

  • The United Nations Security Council met after Iran attacked Israel.
  • The body failed to take any meaningful action against Iran.
  • The UN has long been accused of being a corrupt organization that does little to promote peace.
