Manchin Gives 1 Final ‘Present’ to Biden – And It Will Totally Wreck Biden’s Dirty D.C. Plot

Sen. Joe Manchin shook up the 2024 Election when he announced he wasn’t seeking reelection. The moderate Democrat will be vacating his seat, all but ensuring a West Virginian Republican will take it.

Some speculated he was considering a presidential run. But he announced that was not going to happen.

It’s unclear what his next steps will be. But he has promised he is not done spoiling the left’s plans. Although he will be leaving office soon, he has one more gift for Joe Biden. He will make himself a one-man filibuster.

From Daily Wire:
Manchin has announced a plan to stage his own personal “filibuster,” refusing to vote in favor of any of President Joe Biden’s judicial nominees if they don’t also have Republican support. And it doesn’t have to be a lot of support, Manchin said, adding that he would be willing to consider a “yea” vote if just one Republican were convinced to vote with Democrats.

“Just one Republican. That’s all I’m asking for. Give me something bipartisan. This is my own little filibuster. If they can’t get one Republican, I vote for none. I’ve told [Democrats] that. I said, ‘I’m sick and tired of it, I can’t take it anymore,’” Manchin explained.

Sen. Joe Manchin revealed he was going to filibuster any judicial nominees picked by Biden if no Republicans vote for them. Manchin said he was willing to accept even one Republican vote. He is “sick and tired” of the extreme partisanism that has infected Congress.

For much of Biden’s term as president, Manchin has served as a spoiler in the Senate. Being a moderate from a red state, he has been unwilling to vote for the far-left bills put forward by other Democrats. He has even been reluctant to support major spending demands by Joe Biden.

His only break from this policy was when he supported the infamous inflation bill, just before the 2022 midterms. By allowing this massive spending bill to go through, he seemed to lose support from his own voters—leading to his retirement.

But it doesn’t look like he’s going out without giving Joe Biden a hard time. Any judges the president wants to rush through before the election (perhaps hedging his bets if he loses) will not go through if Republicans are not involved.

Key Takeaways:

  • Joe Manchin vowed to “filibuster” judicial picks lacking Republican support.
  • Manchin will be leaving the Senate after 2024.
  • He said he’d support a judge with at least one Republican vote.
