Mike Pence Suddenly Turns on MAGA Crowd – You Won’t Believe What He Pulled Against Trump

It’s safe to say that Mike Pence has lost favor with many conservatives, since January 2021. His refusal to comply with President Trump’s wishes back then has put him in the dog house, as it were, with the MAGA movement.

But it seems Pence has done nothing to win back the millions of Republicans he once served as vice president. He tried to run against Trump in this cycle’s primaries—and quickly dropped out.

Now, it seems he’s doubling down in his attacks against a group he once supported. Word has come out that he is spending $20 million to root out “populism” in the conservative world. But what he said should trouble MAGA Americans.

From The Post Millennial:
On Wednesday, it was revealed that Mike Pence’s Advancing American Freedom group is in the process of launching a $20 million effort to defeat “unprincipled populism” in the conservative movement…”

“The Constitution and this great American experiment must not be swayed by movements or personalities, but must hold fast to the time-honored principles that have made America strong and prosperous and free.”

Mike Pence’s political group, Advancing American Freedom, is spending $20 million on removing “unprincipled populism” from the Republican Party. What is “unprincipled populism”?

According to Pence, it is any “movements or personalities” that he doesn’t like. Given the current political climate in the GOP, he could only be talking about Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.

It seems Pence believes this movement to put America and Americans first goes against the “Constitution and this great American experiment.”

It’s unclear what about the MAGA movement Pence thinks violates “time-honored principles.” Is Pence against securing the border, lowering taxes, and defeating the crime epidemic?

Perhaps Pence, like many RINOs and neocons, dislikes Trump’s goal of ending America’s involvement in foreign wars. Trump has talked about withdrawing from NATO since America is paying to prop up European nations’ armies.

Trump had also ended conflicts while in office, saving American lives and billions of dollars. Is that what Pence is so upset about? Is he like Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden, who seem fine with neglecting the United States to fight other country’s battles?

Key Takeaways:

  • Mike Pence is spending $20 million to root out “unprincipled populism” within the GOP.
  • Pence accused “movements and personalities” of derailing conservativism.
  • It appears Pence is targeting Donald Trump and the MAGA movement with this move.
