Putin Reveals His Pick for U.S. President – And It Isn’t What Anyone Expected

Arguably the biggest question facing the United States this year deals with who is better for running the country. The winner of the 2024 presidential election may even be the most profound decision Americans make for decades.

The campaign trail has heated up in the last few weeks with opposing front runners dominating the news headlines. What many Americans often don’t realize is that the rest of the world is watching this race, too. World leaders are keeping a close eye on this election’s results.

One infamous world leader recently made known his pick for U.S president. He likened his preference to someone he characterized as like him – an “old school” politician. The endorsement may not be one that Democrats will promote in their campaign ads.

From Blaze Media:
Russian President Vladimir Putin indicated that President Joe Biden would be better for Russia than former President Donald Trump, according to reports.

“Biden. He is a more experienced, predictable person, a politician of the old school,” Putin said, according to the (Reuters) outlet. “But we will work with any U.S. president who the American people have confidence in.”

Putin’s confidence is in Biden. The Russian leader, who started the war against Ukraine, referred to his approval of Biden as “better for us” compared to Trump. This may seem odd since Biden and his leftist Democrat allies in the political world are pushing for more U.S. funding of Ukraine to support the war effort.

Trump isn’t Putin’s favorite considering how he described the former president as someone who “has been called a non-systemic politician; he has his own view on the topic of how the United States should develop relations with its allies.”

That may have been a passive dig against Trump after the 45th president slammed North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies for lack of funding support. Trump has said repeatedly for years that NATO members must pay their fair share and not expect the United States to keep bailing out NATO financing.

Trump once again declared his ire for NATO in a Wednesday post on Truth Social. He has continued his criticism of NATO through social media ever since Russia, on orders from Putin, invaded the smaller Eastern European country.

“Could somebody please inform our uninformable President that NATO has to pay their bills! They are right now paying a small fraction of what we are for the Disaster in Ukraine which, if we had a real President, would never have happened,” Trump posted. “There is probably a $150 Billion difference. They should equalize with the U.S. – FAST! The European Nations, when combined, have approximately the same size Economy as we do. They have the money. PAY UP!”

An underlying sentiment in this exchange from across the other side of the world may be that Trump has also said he will stand strong against Putin and other forceful world leaders just like he did in his first presidency. Stay tuned for whether Trump uses the Putin endorsement of Biden to showcase how weak the current U.S. president is on the world stage.

Key Takeaways:

  • Russian President Putin gives nod to Biden over Trump as his selection for U.S. president.
  • The endorsement was revealed in a news interview and Putin said Biden is “better for us.”
  • Trump declared if he had been president that Putin wouldn’t have easily invaded Ukraine.
